Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Programme
The Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Programme is an innovative, collaborative and accessible educational offering created by the Council of Ontario University Programs in Nursing (COUPN). It is a 12-month post-baccalaureate certificate offered in both English and French to experienced degree prepared nurses. The program has a core curriculum that is delivered via distance education by ten Ontario university schools of nursing. The program began in September 1995 and is offered on a full-time and part-time basis. Graduates of the program form an important part of the province’s primary health care system.
