The Council of Ontario Faculties of Medicine (COFM) provides an effective means of coordination of effort and a regular medium of communication between the faculties of medicine in Ontario.  COFM provides advice to COU, government, and professional organizations on matters related to medical education and research.  

COFM has the following subcommittees:

• Continuing Professional Development Committee;
• Distributed Medical Education;
• Equity, Diversity and Gender Committee;
• Medical Admissions Committee;
• Postgraduate Education Committee;
• Postgraduate Management Committee;
• Committee on Undergraduate Education.

Anyone interested in applying to an Ontario medical school should do so through the Ontario Medical School Application Service (OMSAS).
